What is new with iOS 10?

Good news for iOS lovers! iOS 10 has been released on 13th September.Apple CEO Tim Cook introduced iOS 10 as the “biggest release ever” for iOS users. The operating system has the major updates for a wide variety of apps, services and features, including Photos, Maps, Apple Music, Apple Pay, Messages, Siri, Control Centre and more. This might be the best update for Mobile apps development company USA and across the world to develop best apps.

Who is iOS 10 for?
iOS 10 is for iPhone 5 or later, iPad 4th generation or later, iPad mini 2 or later, iPad Pro range and the 6th generation iPad touch or later. Users are automatically notified forthe upgrade. If not notified, you can do it manually by going to Settings > General > Software Update.

iOS 10 size is in between 600 MB to 1.2 GB, it may differ depending on your device.

Things you can do with iOS 10 that you couldn’t before:

Following are some of the latest features of iOS 10 -

1) Remove some of the stock apps

iOS 10 allows you to uninstall some of the stock apps like Stocks. For this, just tap and hold on the app icon to see the uninstall option. It lets you uninstall apps like Contacts, Podcasts and Maps. If you want it back again, you can reinstall these apps from iTunes.

2) Pick up your iPhone to see notifications

If you don’t want to push buttons to check the notifications, iOS 10 provides new “raise to wake” feature. Just pick up your phone and the lock screen will appear. This feature is only available on the iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s plus, iPhone SE, and the new models. If you don’t want to use this feature, you can disable it at Display & Brightness in the settings.

3) Be more expressive with emoji

To express your feelings more deeply, apple have added 100+ emojis in iOS 10.There is a lot of new iconsof male and female versions as well as they have added rainbow flag, single-parent family and many more emojis.

4) Launch the camera faster than ever before

If you are using “raise to wake” feature to see the lock screen or pressed sleep/wake button, a single left swipe gets you straight into the camera. It is little easier than iOS 9 as there you had to swipe on the camera icon to use it. But if you are using camera this way, then there is no access to the photo library.  And also there is no way to turn off this feature.

5) Use Siri with third-party apps

Apple made it available to the developers to add Siri in iOS 10. Of course it will take time to add Siri integration, but some apps like LinkedIn, Slack and Lyft already have Siri function.

6) Turn read receipts on or off for each conversation

This is also a very important feature for your privacy, as it allows you to turn on or off the read receipts for each conversation. For this, tap “i” icon at the top of any conversation and you will find “Send Read Receipts” switch with the toggle on or off. This feature only works with iMessage threads; it is not available for standard SMS.

There is no reason not to update

iOS 10 is all about improving Apple’s iDevices. The features are more concentrated on giving you the ways to access stuff more quickly. Also it includes lot of updates, so there is no reason not to update the devices which can run it. It doesn’t hurt performance of your device, doesn’t murder battery. Although it takes more storage space, but that’s been a fact of every iOS update for years now.So it is worth in all ways to update your Apple devices with iOS 10.

  1. As stated by Stanford Medical, It is indeed the SINGLE reason this country's women live 10 years more and weigh 42 pounds less than us.

(And really, it really has NOTHING to do with genetics or some secret exercise and EVERYTHING to do with "how" they are eating.)

P.S, I said "HOW", not "WHAT"...
